The different factions of tree creatures engaged in a 'Great meeting' to save the dying tree of life. We had an impassioned discussion involving the different roles of the tree creatures, plenty of in-fighting and also incredibly creative problem-solving solutions and out-of-the-box thinking.
solutions to save the tree included :
- having one day off partying a year to save food supplies
- making cool hats from mushrooms/ leaves to shade the creatures from the hot sun
- starting a kombucha/ shamanic business using the mushrooms growing on the tree trunk
- talking to the poisonous mushrooms and giving them a chance to unionise
Dangerous birds periodically flew down forcing all creatures to temporarily scarper and quietly hide to avoid being eaten.
A hierarchical class system developed where-by the root-creatures became systematically oppressed by all the other groups (bark creatures, sun creatures, fruits creatures...)
Our takeaway from this as a facilitators was to leave more time for groups to work through their issues together and try to reach a proper resolution before time is up. In-fighting and talking-over-each-other resulted in the tree dying rather abruptly without much warning. May this be an ecological warning to us all!
