The Improvised theater jam in English was started by Alice Turner and Donald Mcnair in December 2018 and the community continues to play today.

The idea was to create a regular event where anyone, no matter how experienced, could turn up and play make believe. 

The jam starts with a brief introduction, some ground rules and group warm-up activities. In the second half, Anyone can volunteer to play in some short form games. The jams are free but donations are used to pay for the space rental and outstanding donations are used to invite players from abroad to do workshop, and send players from the community to different festivals to play and connect with the international improvising community. When members learn new skills form workshops, they bring the skills back and share the new games and skills with the group here in Sofia.
