When we realise we cannot control the behaviour of others, and begin instead to allow ourselves to process the pain of our unmet needs, then we can begin to free ourselves to find our own resolution. This liberates space in our lives to again find connection, happiness, fresh creativity, and freedom from our chains.
This was a workshop for a small group of facilitators/ teachers to introduce the idea of the human library, and discuss how it could be used in different ways. Participants were invited to become a human book and share a short story related to a resolved conflict in their lives. After that the group had the chance to feedback and ask questions. What is a human library?
The Human Library is very much like a regular library where people go to check out books. The only difference is that the books are all human volunteers who have opted to speak about their experiences openly to an interested audience and answer any questions they are asked.
This workshop was made possible by the support of Creatosphere, The Unusual Academy, and by the incredible work of Anna Moro, Veronika Pavlova and Despoina Rafaildou from their 'Water to the Moon' Erasmus plus training in January 2025, created by their organisation YOUnique in the Czech Republic, and the support of Bistra from Zarika Foundation, Bulgaria.
This training was funded by the European commission.
